Mission:

The purpose of the Miami Jazz Museum is to collect, document, preserve and present the rich history of Miami's jazz heritage, from its early 20th century origins to its modern-day variations, through permanent/temporary art/photo and artifacts exhibits, archives, recordings, audio/visual experiences, traveling exhibits, interactive cultural arts community outreach education programs, live musical performances and special events for children and adults.

In presenting unique programs for children and adults, the Miami Jazz Museum will also create complementary partnerships with established arts organizations and jazz ensembles in South Florida that will enhance the community's cultural offerings for residents and tourists.

Our goal is to establish a physical venue that would serve its purpose.
